Francis Maude was elected Member of Parliament for Horsham in 1997, 2001 and again in 2005. He was Chairman of the Conservative Party from May 2005 until July 2007, when he was appointed Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office and Shadow Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.
